I have spoken about the ups and downs of the cast members, but I have yet to elaborate on everything the crew members were busy dealing with. I can tell you MANY stories that range from: curious howler monkeys that surprised the crew as they took a bathroom break in an ill advised jungle area; to the day the taxi drivers blocked the roads to protest their government not paving the highway in Bocas Del Toro.
One day, we woke up to a very Mad Max-type scenario. The Island had run out of diesel fuel and we all had to get to work…in our diesel trucks, half of which were conveniently below “E”. If you get into reality entertainment thinking that it is easy; you will find out after your first 24-hour shift that it is just as demanding as any job around, never mind that you may have been laying in mud waiting to catch one action that might never manifest itself. If anyone thinks that any of this might be embellished, I invite you to engage a reality crew member sometime; I guarantee you that they will have a few stories that even I would be impressed to hear...
