I don't think she exactly screwed over Ryan. He was picked up- there's nothing anybody can do for him after that. He was probably going to be chosen to go in anyway.

The look she gave Evan showed Paula knew what she was doing. She knew if she called on Dummy Bear that MJ would be last, AND she knew that MJ would pick Ryan. She chose Dummy Bear over Ryan.

Aliciaaa Paula was looking out for Evan, try watching the video again. She said that Davis and Nehemiah were gonna call out Evan into the Duel so that's why she changed it, so that MJ would be the last and he wouldn't call Evan out. So she did save his sorry ass. And he's not separating from her.
